The Ocean View

This was my third time staying at the Oceanview. I’ll mention what I don’t like first. There’s tiny details that could use attention. Light switches little too grimey. The bottom of the shower has a rusty (but safe) thing going on. Little things that are just general upkeep stuff. The GOOD stuff. The staff is always super helpful. The room was comfortable for a weeks stay. Ive stayed during spring summer and fall and its always beautiful. I’ve stayed on the first floor and always loved it. This time I reserved a room with a private balcony and it was so worth it. The beach is steps away. No paying $25 to park. You get all the buzz of a summer beach but at the end of the day it clears right out and you feel like it’s all yours. Same with first thing in the morning. People doing yoga. Walking. Watching the sunrise. Very chill. The Barnacle clam shack next door has really good seafood. The views out back into the marsh grass are beautiful too. I will warn you. The power wires in the way of the otherwise perfect view, the road noise and kids doing burnouts right before the parking lot is locked at night may be annoying. It’s still 1000% more peaceful than say, Hampton. And none of this is the Motels fault. I love it here and will continue to go back every year.

Very happy with our experience at The Ocean View. We stayed during off-season and found our room to be clean, quiet and had all we needed. It is a beautiful view with the beach out front, too!

This place was phenomenal - very memorable. Clean, great views, 5-star service. I can't say enough good things about my stay.

I’ve now stayed at the Ocean View 3 times and it never disappoints. The convenience to the beach is truly unbeatable!! The staff has always been so accommodating and friendly. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable, no complaints there at all. Felt like I was sleeping in my own bed. The details they put into their rooms gives you that true Cape feeling and I absolutely love it!! This is a must if you’re looking to stay in the Centerville area. I just recently stayed in the Hyannis Port room and that morning sun on our private balcony was perfection and let’s not forget with an ocean view.

We'd never been to the Cape before and the Ocean View was recommended by an acquaintance. When we made our reservation, there was only one room open, on the ground floor in the center of the building. It was cute and clean and the window had a view to the public beach across the street. I'm guessing the upstairs rooms with balconies probably have a nicer view of the beach. We were on the fence about the beach itself. While it was nice that it was within easy walking distance, the water was so calm it felt more like being at a large lake than being at the ocean - we really missed seeing big waves and hearing the roar of the surf that we've experienced in other places.

Our favorite place to stay on the Cape! Love everything about this place! The staff, rooms, beach view, the beach! EVERYTHING! We also love their sister hotel, The Craigville Beach Inn- 1 mile down the road with a shuttle to and from the beach. Also has amazing staff, beautiful, clean rooms and a great overall experience. We wouldn't stay anywhere else :)

I don't think I have ever been to a place that I have loved as much as this. We booked a 2 night stay in the Nantucket Sound room and absolutely LOVED it!! The place was so clean, and felt like an absolute steal for the cost in comparison to many other places. The motel is located on the beachfront to Craigville Beach, and you can get rooms with balconies that look out to the ocean (which the Nantucket Sound room does). You can easily walk across the street to the beach, and back and forth. It is also located just down the road from The Barnacle (which has amazing food). The location is also really quiet, despite having the public beach out front. I feel relaxed and rejuvenated after spending my weekend here! Housekeeping also promptly restocked the toiletries for us. We had no issues here whatsoever and I'm hoping to come back next summer. I don't think I could more highly recommend a place to stay!!

This motel is wonderful. The location right across from the beach is amazing. It is a quiet little area even in the middle of summer. What makes it five stars is the staff. They go above and beyond to make sure the rooms are clean, and that they meet all your expectations. Will definitely be back.
